Field Trip

Friday we took a field trip to the Creation Museum in Petersburg,KY. This museum shares about the Bible and science from the christian perspective. You can click on the Creation Museum to go to the web site. My back ground hides that it is highlighted.
Dad went with us, so Tegan had his "Buddy" along. We celebrated Dad's Birthday while we were there. Happy Birthday, Dad!
The kids enjoyed the Dinosaur exhibit. They also were drawn to the sand that the Dino's stood in. So that was interesting keeping them out of the sand.

This petting zoo is the best!! Ever animal came to the kids and we could not get enough of these gentle animals. Even the camel would take his food from our hands very gentle. This is a Zonkey. We all enjoyed the Zonkey, but this is one of Tegan's favorite too. He really likes Zebra's. He fell in love with them when we stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.
As you can tell we loved this area. Tegan's favorite was the pig. Tiffany and Tristan fell in love with the donkey. As we left the donkey put his ears down and followed us out as we left. I think he captured all our hearts. ( *disclaimer not all of us loved the petting zoo, Ronn does not like petting zoo's so he took pictures instead.):)

Disney Came To Us!!!

Disney came to us!!! Right here in Bargersville, Indiana! It was great we did not have to get in a car or plane to travel all the way to Florida. It was a short 10 min. drive. Tegan the whole way insisted Daddy drive faster! The little town of Bargersville was all closed off. So we parked in a field and they shuttle us in on tractor. What an experience, this tractor did not go slow! Disney has a new movie coming out, A Christmas Carol. To publicize the movie they have set up a train for people to walk threw. They have the characters of the movie, models of the scenes and how they made the movie. The movie comes to theaters Nov. 6th, 2009.
Here is our long wait! Would we have waited if we did not psych the kids up? No Way! This is looking at just one end of the line. It was also hot! It really felt like Disney!! Long lines and freaking hot! :)
We are about to board the train, just 2 hours 45 min 54 seconds to wait for this one time experience.
The rooms where set up so beautiful. They had some interactive areas and how they made the movie. These pictures are just some of the characters that are in the movie.
I guess, it was worth the wait in line.:) It looks like it will be a great movie! I have more pictures, if you are interested in anything else let me know.

Our trip back to the car was filled with fun too. The kids loved the air rushing into their mouths. Reminds me of dogs sticking their heads out of the car window. :)
As you can tell Tiffany lost her front tooth. She had lost it a while back, but I think this is the first picture that you can see that she lost her tooth.
Tegan is into trains and planes. He loves this train shirt! I thought it was fitting to wear to the event.:)

Comment

Thanks everyone for your comments! I had some technical difficulty on my end, in which I was unable to get my pictures to down load to my computer. Ronn helped me out.
While talking to a friend, I told her I thought I would take a break from blogging. I had gone such a long time from blogging, I thought maybe I should take a break. She convinced me other wise. Thanks!;)
I will try to have more pictures of my little Goonies too. As I think back to one of my favorite shows, this group is a lot like the characters. This is a very interesting group to watch as they play together. We may have a reality show on our hands.

School's In Session

School has started for us on August 3rd, 2009. We have had a great start!
Have you wondered what we have been up to? We have been to the famous Jungle Jim's and loved it! We have been to Olentangy Caves in Ohio, lived to tell about it. Ronn is claustrophobic, and he made it okay. He just left the cave a little early.
Ronn celebrated his Birthday with an almost surprise party.:) Mom, said something to someone when she thought he couldn't hear at praise practice. I did pull off a successful surprise party on his 30th Birthday though.
Mike, my cousin from Iowa visited. He took the kids fishing and they loved fishing! They also loved, Mike!
We took the kids camping as a last family outing before school.
I'm ready for us to be back on a schedule.
Tristan's class room. This is on the first floor in the house. Grandma teaches Tristan's class. Mom has her teaching degree. She is using her own curriculum this year instead of something ordered.
Here is Tiffany's class, her school room is on the second floor. Mom and I are so proud of our classrooms. Tiffany's curriculum is through A Beka which is a class on the DVD. We love it! I love how the kids have bible class before school everyday that they watch from A Beka. I've heard our kids sharing with the neighbor kids about the bible lessons. They are so excited when telling the other kids. That's when all doubt if your doing the right thing goes away.

I should of taken a picture of Tegan and Jessie. We have a babysitter come and play with Tegan while we are at school. This has worked out awesome!

On The Road Again....

Things we have done since Tiffany's Birthday. Ronn, Jody (Operations Director, CSI) and I went to Haiti. We saw the ministries in Haiti and meet with the CSI missionaries. I can't express how awed I am by God working in peoples lives and ministries. We have had the ending of the school year. The kids had a program and refreshments. Most memorable moment is with Mom concluding the program with " that's the end of the school year for 1909!" We all rolled on the floor with laughter. Mom never disappoints us with fun and entertainment. :)
We then on May 29th headed to Florida. We meet with friends from CSI in Merritt Island. We had such a good time. Visited a church that supports Haiti. They send a lot of medical teams to Haiti. They also have teams that have helped out the North America ministries.
We then headed to our already planned vacation to Disney World on the 31st. We stayed at the Animal Kingdom, Kidani Village. Wow, this is my favorite place to stay at Disney!! Tegan loved the Zebra's. We all loved watching the animals.
Ronn's parents meet us their with Jaden our niece. Jessie flew with us to help out with the kids while in Merritt Island.
Here are the kids at the pool at the Kidani Village.
Grandma and Grandpa Oren at Thunder Mountain. It was really hard to get a picture of all of us together. We always seemed to be in different part of the parks.
Here is my favorite picture of Jessie. This is our cool waiter, we loved his glasses.:)
The Disney vacation with the whole family was over on June 5th. Ronn had more CSI work so the kids and I stayed with Ronn in Florida. We have a friend that works at Disney and she gave us a great discount to stay at the Wilderness Lodge. So later that next week we stayed at Disney again. It was a really neat lodge too. Thanks Summer!!
Starting on the Haiti trip I had started listening to the Twilight audio series. I loved it! In Haiti I listened to New Moon, I was in Merritt Island listening to Eclipse and I was over looking a Savannah while listening to Breaking Dawn.
Father's Day weekend was awesome!! The Black's came and spent the weekend with us. Aaron and Ronn played golf at Legends golf coarse. On Sat night mom and I surprised Ronn and Dad with dinner out to Famous Dave's. Then on Sunday we had lunch together and let the men play Halo all afternoon. The kids gave Ronn Mickey coffee and Disney mints and Ronn also got a new electric razor.
Life doesn't stop getting crazy there. I have been helping get VBS ready for this weekend. Ronn and I also leave for Oklahoma this weekend, CSI work.
I think that catches us up from Tiffany's Birthday party.:) I'll try to blog soon.
